Relations with other countries Pacific The Cook Islands has formally been established. We have diplomatic relations with the following countries in the Pacific:

  • Fiji
  • Papua New Guinea
  • Nauru

New Zealand and Australia The relationship between the Cook Islands and New Zealand has be a very close relationship, built on shared history, trade, and family links. New Zealand is the only country to have established a full consular post in the Cook Islands International The Cook Islands has formally established diplomatic relations with the following countries: International Organisations

  • The Cook Islands is an Associate member of the Commonwealth Secretariat
  • Member of United Nations specialised agencies – UNESCO, UNDP, FAO Global Issues Environment

The Ministry’s focus is on issues such as climate change, bio safety and biodiversity, oceans and endangered species and sustainable development issues. Human Rights Engaged in promoting the rights of women, children and people with disabilities. Security Disarmament

 

Entry Requirements
